Almost there...

Greetings Bloggers, so the end is nigh, it has been a special few days...

Y E O V I L   T O W N   R O A D   R U N N I N done, 'g Club' to go. A few special moments, Saturday I met up with the inspiration behind Challenge333, son of Challenge639, Ian and, along with Daughter Kris, we set of on a little jaunt around The Devils Punch Bowl. Now those who know Ian will be aware that he does not do flat or dry, so it was nine miles of mud, hills, puddles and fantastic views, good company, great sites in a fantastic location. Thanks to Ian and Ali for a recce that created a superb and challenging run.

Then a mad rush to Mums for a celebration of her 80th Birthday before, on Sunday, a family run of 9k with Jen, Kris, Jess, Becky, Alice, Robert and me, some running for the first time for a long time. It was great, tremendous from everyone, I loved it! Then back to Mums for the party left overs, a special weekend. And we talked about Duchennes and Alfie and Arthur, and more people become aware, and they wanted to help.....

Then came early Monday morning, the rain fell, the wind blew, the sea was rough, it was cold, I had to do 14km. Once out I enjoyed it, but then mangaged to screw up the route planning and ended up doing 15.5km..

Been in touch with Iain from Action Duchenne, he will be there Sunday, Debs has come up with three loops for Sunday, one for each decade of the Club, Sally and Paul will be manning the Gazebo and watching the cakes. Its going to be a special day from Goldenstones Leisure Centre in Yeovil at 10am on Sunday, be there! Celebrate 30 great years of Yeovil Town RRC!

Thanks to everyone for all the support, lots of parts hurt, but they are still working and will get better, we have the choice to run, lets take it.

And Richard Dodge is picking up the mantle in July, details to follow!
